Virginia State Parks Offer Virtual Programming

Virginia State Parks are now offering virtual programming! Staff from each state park are contributing to the archive of education materials which will cover everything from Nature to History! For more information and to see what has been posted so far please go to the Virginia State Park’s Facebook page or you can check out their YouTube account.

How about a field trip??

The Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center will gladly host field trips and even bring history right to your classroom! Programming can be customized based on grade level, class size, etc. For more information please call 276-940-1643 or send us an email.

Volunteer Opportunities

Natural Tunnel State Park is always looking for volunteers to assist with programs, events, and every day operations. No matter what your interests are, Natural Tunnel has something for you! The Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center Foundation, as well as it’s Exhibits and Library Committees, is currently seeking new members to assist with planning and implementation of programming, fundraising, living history demonstrations, and more. There are also many other volunteer opportunities at the facility, such as landscaping, setting up for events, and operating the cash register. In addition to the opportunities available at the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center there are numerous ways to volunteer at other park facilities, for events, etc. For more information call 276-940-1643 or send us an email.

Facility Hours: Friday – Monday, 10 am – 6 pm
